PMT developed the Expansion Project for the Presidente Maria Emília Elementary School, located in Charneca de Caparica, with the aim of strengthening the school's capacity and improving the functional and pedagogical conditions of the kindergarten and primary education.

New building for the kindergarten

The project involves the construction of a new building with a gross construction area of approximately 787 m², intended for the kindergarten, including:

➡ 6 activity rooms;

➡ Multipurpose room for meals;

➡ Multipurpose room for AAAF (Animation and Family Support Activities);

➡ 2 offices;

➡ School library;

➡ 6 storage rooms;

➡ Sanitary facilities for students, adults, and people with reduced mobility.

The project also includes the construction of adjacent sheds, allowing for the creation of a covered outdoor recreation area and ensuring a functional and fluid connection to the existing school building.

Outdoor arrangements

The Outdoor Arrangements Project for the new playground attached to the Kindergarten is also planned, covering an area of approximately 7,500 m². The proposal includes:

➡ leisure areas and landscaping;

➡ recreational areas with play equipment;

➡ possible redesign of the parking area, resulting from the construction of the new building.

Adaptation of the existing building

The intervention also includes the adaptation of the existing sanitary facilities on the ground floor of the school building, currently used by the preschool, for the 1st Cycle, in an area of approximately 20 m², ensuring better conditions of use and functional compliance.

This project reflects PMT's experience in the development of school equipment projects, ensuring rigorous, functional technical solutions that are in line with the current needs of the educational community.
