The project to reconstruct and expand the Rainha Santa Isabel Elementary School and Kindergarten represents a major engineering and urban planning challenge, as it restores to the school community a building that was previously closed due to serious structural and safety issues, transforming it into a modern, inclusive, and safe space.

The original building had been closed due to serious functional deficiencies, most notably the complete lack of accessibility features for children with mobility impairments. As a school building with a six-story vertical structure, the removal of architectural barriers was one of the key priorities.

With this renovation, the Rainha Santa Isabel Elementary School now has a capacity for 267 students distributed across 8 first-cycle classes and 3 kindergarten activity rooms, in addition to access to an indoor gymnasium built on the grounds of the National Swimming Club, made possible through a memorandum of understanding between the entities involved.

Until the project’s completion, PMT is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating on-site safety. Through rigorous technical oversight and strict adherence to safety and accessibility standards, our team ensures full legal compliance, adherence to deadlines, and the utmost diligence at every stage of construction.
