The expansion and modernization of Lisbon's school network is one of the municipality's strategic priorities, in line with the objectives of the city's Education Charter. The ongoing interventions aim to reinforce the safety and accessibility of buildings, improve thermal and acoustic performance, increase energy efficiency, and refurbish kitchens, cafeterias, sports facilities, and outdoor areas.

The Estrela Elementary School + Kindergarten No. 72 is located in the Special Protection Zone of the Estrela Basilica. The project covers the rehabilitation of the mansion that houses the kindergarten and the school building integrated into the historic Centenary Plan, ensuring the preservation of heritage and its adaptation to current needs.

The intervention focuses mainly on structural reinforcement, the creation of inclusive accessibility, acoustic and thermal improvement, the installation of new sports equipment, and the complete refurbishment of outdoor and recreational spaces, promoting a safe, efficient, and appropriate environment for children's development.

PMT is responsible for the management, supervision of the work, and safety coordination of this project, ensuring strict compliance with technical, legal, and operational standards.
