PMT was hired to supervise the construction of the Vila Nova de Famalicão Athletics Center, a major sports facility representing an investment of over €6.2 million, which will enhance the municipality's sports offering.

Promoted by the Vila Nova de Famalicão City Council, this new athletics center was designed to meet the demands of competitive and high-performance practice, and is equipped to host 23 athletics disciplines. The infrastructure will be built on a 30,000 m² site in Talvai, in the northern part of the city, establishing itself as a benchmark facility at regional and national level.

The project includes the construction of an eight-lane athletics track with an inner grass area, stands, support buildings, and changing rooms, as well as exterior improvements, including a lit gravel warm-up track, an open-air stand, a parking lot, and new access roads.

PMT's role as the entity responsible for supervising the work is to ensure compliance with quality, safety, deadline, and technical control requirements, guaranteeing the correct execution of a highly complex sports facility of public importance.
